In OMA, we define homoeologous genes as pairs of homologous genes that have started
diverging through speciation between the progenitor genomes and then merged back into
the same genome by hybridisation. Homoeologs are thus only defined in polyploid genomes.
With OMA we aim at reporting a comprehensive list of homoeologs and provide a confidence
scores to help users to distinguish between high-confident and more putative predictions.
